Get ready for a monster-sized dose of creativity these school holidays!

City of Karratha Libraries is excited to welcome award-winning author, illustrator, graphic designer and primary school art teacher Sean E Avery for six FREE events across Karratha, Dampier and Wickham Libraries.

Sean is best known for his much-loved books Ducky the Spy, Frank’s Red Hat, Monkeys Love Bananas and Happy as a Hog Out of Mud. His funny and heartwarming books and engaging presentations inspire children to discover the joy of reading, creativity and storytelling.

Mini Comics
Learn the basics of comic creation and graphic storytelling while designing your own mini comic. Participants will explore character development, story structure, comic lettering and panelling, with tips for self-publishing.

Sensory Monster
After reading The Sensory Monsters Playground, participants will discover different sensory preferences before designing and creating their own unique Sensory Monster model. This hands-on workshop encourages creativity, imagination and self-expression.
