Full library memberships

Full library memberships are available for adults, juniors, travellers and organisations.

Adult library memberships

Memberships are available for free for all Western Australian residents aged over 18 years. 
Your membership gives you access to loan up to 12 and reserve up to eight resources at a time, including books, DVDs, audio books, magazines and items from the Library of Things collection. 

You’ll also be able to access eResources including eBooks, eAudio Books, eMagazines and movies, as well as access member’s WiFi and up to two hours free PC use per day.

To register, please bring your proof of Western Australian address and photo ID to your local library. 

Young adult and junior library memberships

Memberships are available for free for all Western Australian residents aged under 18 years. A parent or guardian must take responsibility for all Young Adult and Junior memberships. 

Young adult and junior members can access the same resources and services as full adult members outlined above. 

To register, the parent or guardian must bring proof of Western Australian address and photo ID to the local library.

Traveller library membership - single and family

Traveller memberships are available for people who live outside of Western Australia, or who cannot provide proof of a Western Australian address. 

A bond payment is required. This is refunded when all items have been returned, accounts are free of charges and upon presentation of the original bond payment receipt.

Single membership holders may borrow up to three physical items, and family membership holders may borrow up to six physical items. 

All borrowers may access eResources including eBooks, eAudio Books, eMagazines and movies, as well as access member’s WiFi and up to two hours free PC use per day.
To register, please bring your proof of your address and photo ID to your local library.

Organisational memberships

Local organisations including day cares and aged care facilities may be eligible for an institutional membership. 
To apply, please complete the organisational agreement form and have this signed by your organisation’s Manager or Director.
